Transformed is the student ministry at EGBC. We are committed to seeing young men and women transformed by the all powerful gospel of Jesus Christ. We know how to have fun, but our greatest passion is seeing lives changed through life-on-life discipleship.
Summer Camp is one of our primary disciple making platforms every year. This summer we are going away to Zephyr Point Presybeterian Camp & Conference Center on Lake Tahoe. Pastor Justin will be our keynote speaker and the theme is FOLLOW - everyone follows something.
We have several of our discipleship staff going to invest in the lives of the students! The staff of Transformed love investing in students for Christ's sake. And in case you aren't familiar with EGBC, all of our discipleship staff are members of EGBC, have gone through our application process to serve with minors, and have submitted to background checks.
The schedule includes times of morning and evening worship, small groups to discuss what we learned from God's Word, indoor and outdoor group game times, & free time.
Here are some necessary details:
- Meet @ EGBC at 2pm on Friday afternoon (June 11th)
- We will return to EGBC by 3pm on Monday afternoon (June 14th)
- All students participating will need to fill out our annual EGBC Student Ministry release form (you can find that here)
- The cost for the summer camp is $125. It includes all transportation, food and lodging. We request that each student brings some money for dinner/lunch on the way to & from camp. If the cost is the one thing keeping your student from camp, please contact Patrick Shelton here.
- You can pay for camp in person or online here.
- The students will need to bring appropriate clothes for the mountains, close toed shoes, swimsuit, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, flashlight & towel.
- The students will not be allowed to bring knives, game systems, ipads/tablets, drugs and alcohol. Any student who refuses to abide by our basic camp guidelines will need to return home. It will be the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to pick up their child from camp if the child is sent home for disobedient conduct.
