Prayer & Fasting

It has been said that praying is spiritual breathing, essential for our life in God. Dependent prayer should be the normal ebb and flow of the Christian life.

In a unique way, RBC is crying out mightitly to God this season. We firmly believe that God will answer His people when they get serious about depending on Him. The God of Scripture has promised to resist the proud but give much grace to the humble. One of the primary ways humility is expressed is by getting on our knees before the King of Kings and admitting that apart from Him, we can do nothing.

Over the next month, let’s be people who call out to God for his blessing and favor. He is the one who works in us “to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13). We are calling our RBC family to commit to a season of prayer and fasting. To get serious about fervent intercession. Together, we want to earnestly seek the face of God and surrender ourselves to his purposes and plans for his glory, knowing that he says, “‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know’” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Below are additional resources to help you fervently cry out to God through Word-filled, Spirit-dependent prayer and fasting.
